Q1: In the catalog of MCSE (Hurricane Chamfering Endmill), it is written that the minimum bore diameter is from 4mm. What does "minimum bore diameter" mean?
Q2: In milling what is the normal cutting condition for Inconel machining?
Q3: What is the solution for the chip twining at threading?
Q4: Can we use the MT/ TK breaker for plunge and turn purpose?
Q5: When the cermet insert and PR930 are in stock, is the criterion of tool choice is S45C?
Q6: When using GB43R, sometimes chip entanglement occurs. Is there any other grooving insert with better chip control performance?
Q7: What is the difference between "No Offset Type"and "Offset Type"of KTGF for external grooving?
Q8: At internal grooving of aluminum workpiece, it is hard to increase the cutting speed due to the small cutting diameter. In such a case, KW10 is still available?
Q9: Generally, external turning inserts are compatible among different manufacturers. How about grooving insert or threading insert?
Q10: How to reduce the machining time?
Q11: Is Wiper edge insert (WQ Chipbreaker) effective in any machining direction and interrupted cutting?

Q1: In the catalog of MCSE (Hurricane Chamfering Endmill), it is written that the minimum bore diameter is from 4mm. What does "minimum bore diameter" mean?
A1: The minimum base hole diameter required for chamfering.

Q2: In milling what is the normal cutting condition for Inconel machining?
A2: Insert Grade: PR660
Chipbreaker: With Chipbreaker
    (e.g. J-Chipbreaker)
Coolant: Wet Cut
Cutting Speed: V=30-50m/min
D.O.C., Feed Rate: Same conditions as
    SUS machining
Tool Life: Much shorter than SUS machining

Q3: What is the solution for the chip twining at threading?
A3: TS Chipbreaker is recommended, though only TNN32 type is available. Please apply Flank Infeed method when machining. There is a difference in TS Chipbreaker's chip control performance between when applying Radial Infeed and Flank Infeed.

Q4: Can we use the MT/ TK breaker for plunge and turn purpose?
A4: No, MT chipbreaker is focused on small parts machining and it scorner radius is small. Please try GMM3020-04 OR GMG3020-04.

Q5: When the cermet insert and PR930 are in stock, is the criterion of tool choice is S45C?
A5: When the cutting speed is between 80 and 120m/min., both cermet and PR930 are available. Cermet is recommended over 120m/nin.PR930 is recommended at under 80m/min.
Q6: When using GB43R, sometimes chip entanglement occurs. Is there any other grooving insert with better chip control performance?
A6: GBA43R-MY is attachable to GB43R-type toolholder. In addition, it is more effective to use KGBA-type toolholder for further chip flow improvement
FAQ6
Q7: What is the difference between "No Offset Type"and "Offset Type"of KTGF for external grooving.
A7: When operating the automatic lathe, toolholder come very close to the workpiece chuck. In such cases, "Offset Type" toolholder sometimes interferes with the chuck due to the large gap between B and F-dimensions as shown below. It is necessary to use "No Offset Type" in such cases.
FAQ 7
Q8: At internal grooving of aluminum workpiece, it is hard to increase the cutting speed due to the small cutting diameter. In such a case, KW10 is still available?
A8: Please try PR930. When the cutting speed is low, it works more effectively to improve surface sheen because PR930 is hard to generate the built-up edge. But if it is necessary to increase the cutting speed, KW10 is more suitable.
Q9: Generally, external turning inserts are compatible among different manufacturers. How about grooving insert or threading insert?
A9: Grooving insert and threading insert are mostly incompatible. Each manufacturer produces them based on its own specifications.
Q10: How to reduce the machining time?
A10: Wiper edge insert (WQ Chipbreaker) is effective for reducing the machining time.
Q11: Is Wiper edge insert (WQ Chipbreaker) effective in any machining direction and interrupted cutting?
A11: There are effective direction and ineffective direction. When machining into the vertical direction (facing) or the parallel direction (external/internal cutting), wiper edge insert has its effect. But it is ineffective at taper machining. Interrupted cutting is not available. Faq 11
